PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 22, 2012) Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Michael Strobeck fires the MK-38 25mm machine gun system during a weapons exercise aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46). Tortuga is part of the forward-deployed Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and is operating the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility. The U.S. Navy is reliable, flexible, and ready to respond worldwide on, above, and below the sea.
